HIV/AID Prevention and Control

2014-2017 With support from World Bank NACA and ZAMSACA. SMACI reached 300 MARPs, most at risk population (100 female sex workers FSW, 200 long distance driver) and 12,950 women for PMTCT, under three components of MPPI, Structural, Behavioral and Biomedical interventionsin 2021-2022 SMACI Provide Psychosocial, physiological, clinical and legal support to 237 Survivors affected by Gender base violence to reduce the rate of new HIV infection amongst General Population

Promoting Gender equity and eliminating Gender Based Violence

SMACI In partnership with SCI established 620 safe spaces and trained 22,863 Adolescent on gender equality, equitable relationship, negotiation skills, sexual reproductive health, saving goals etc. Boys and girls who are engaged with the project can now speak out against discriminations and confidently express their future hopes and aspirations to their parents SMACI also Provide Psychosocial, physiological, clinical and legal support to 230 Survivors affected by Gender base violence

Child survival, protection and development

SMACI work to promote the well-being of children and reduce illiteracy and provide educational opportunities for all children, irrespective of their background and gender; that prepare children for productive employment and lifelong learning opportunities, to giving every child a better future. We also work to improve child health and nutrition through Comprehensive community-based primary healthcare systems effectively linking programm at the household, clinic, and referral hospital levels to address the main threats to child health

Action Research and Knowledge Management

SMACI provides relevant knowledge and baseline information to policy makers, public officials, media, CSOs and communities on delivery of public services and socio-economic situation of targeted communities through participatory research projects.
